makkad manav kyun?

i was in college wid friends and was keen on watchin a movie....most friends backed out but well as they say birds of a feather flock together....swapnil agreed....and then after a lot of banter abt why we were goin for a movie while others were hanging out in coll and that we cud go sometime laters etc me and swapnil headed straight to the theatre....

when i reached the theatre the first thing that hit me...(like always) was the exorbitant charges they take for a 4 by 4 feet of space that they give u to park the bike!thats when u tend to realise how valuable real estate is! 20 rs for 3 hrs! for a 4 by 4 space lolz....anyways cut back to the front end of the theatre....

swapnil was checking the listings out and we both unanimously agreed to catch the friendly neighborhood spiderman!but there was one hitch....swapnil didnt want to watch it in english and i didnt wanna watch it in any other language!but then after a lot of persuation i agreed and we bought tickets for makkad manav(now thats how i shud be calling poor spiderman!)

the problem worsens because spider man in hindi means addition of a lot of more things other than only the language....they very nicely get in the different indian dialects within the hindi version and make the editor of the daily bugle a punjabi!(for heavens sake simply becoz editor is a guy with a heavier barritone u make him a punjabi!) not only that spiderman is ultra senti with his dialogues to mary jane....i mean even a normal gurl wud find a guy wid that type of a language a creep....cmon guys give some respect to mary jane shes a celebrity let her have a guy who is charming ......

the movie was full of shite and it didnt go down well wid me....i was wondering since then have any foreigners ever dubbed our movies for their audience then why should we?
the answer is simple...while most of their country is educated and can read...ours cant....and so our very considerate directors painstakingly dub the dialogues of every movie.......

even if i say that we aint got a high literacy rate am sure most of our country can boast abt their ability to read the national language....and this must be made mandatory if it is not as of yet!

i really think that use of indian languages on english movies not only screws the movie but also goes to show the poor state of the country....and i wud definitely not want to see our country be talked abt in bad light....

basic education is a must and every child must get it...afterall its their right...am lucky and priveleged to have got to enjoy this right but then i shall make sure i also take it as a responsibility and try my best to not let any child go uneducated.....and am sure if everyone of us took it up to us to do so we wud definitely not need to see any english movies dubbed in hindi or bhojpuri....
and then there wud be no longer the legend of makkad manav!
